Hooray! Xinyue’s paper on wildfire is officially (and finally) out of the oven TODAY! The paper titled ‘Predicting wildfire ignition induced by dynamic conductor swaying under strong winds‘ is published on the distinguished journal Scientific Reports. It’s also worth noting that the work is part of the activities of the Catastrophe Modeling Center at Lehigh University.
This is Xinyue’s first publication during her Ph.D. journey. More importantly, this is Xinyue’s first paper with her advisor Dr. Paolo Bocchini. Xinyue learnt numerous things and grew substantially through this process: from the very beginning in 2019 when her embarassing English barely allowed her to understand what was going on in California, to today when she is a ‘girl on fire’.
